We got married at the Lemp gazebo on June 17, 2023, and we could not have been happier with the whole event, venue, and just everything! It is such a beautiful and unique space that was perfect for our size (140 guest) and the vibe we were going for. We highly recommend having your ceremony and reception at the gazebo — our guests loved the ease and laid back feel of the “California style” ceremony that went straight into happy hour and dinner fun! Our guests also loved the beautiful and charming neighborhood, which is very walkable and filled with many fun things to do over the wedding weekend! The event was seamless and working with Patty, the owner, was a pleasure and a breeze. She is a true pro and will handle everything, and leave you feeling confident your big day will be perfect. We were initially nervous about having an all-outdoor event in summer, but they have many big fans that kept the space very comfortable without creating a loud ruckus. The Lemp provided a truly beautiful room in their hotel for the wedding party to get ready in, which made the afternoon feel so special. The food was also incredible — we did the barbecue option and our guests loved it! It was extremely easy and no-hassle to have the Lemp do the catering and the bar (bartenders were great too!) and helped the event go smoothly. Patty even coordinated clean up the night of, so that all of our family and friends could join us at the after-after party — she will do EVERYTHING to make the day focused on you! First time at this legend and I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered the Old School, house smoked pastrami and Swiss with dusseldorf mustard on sourdough bread. My sandwich was packed with pastrami and it was delicious and filling. The line ran 40 feet out their front door when we arrived but it moves quickly. Luckily an inside table opened up after we ordered. Very friendly staff. Only street parking available. Highly recommend.

I heard this place was rated #1 on yelp in the Midwest so I had to give it a try. The sandwiches were really good and well priced. The bacon potato salad was also very good. There was a line but it moved quickly and was worth the wait. I’ll be back for sure.
